This directory contains public domain programs distributed as a service by Whiteley Research, Inc. These programs are provided "as is" and no guarantees are given or implied as to the suitability of these programs for any particular purpose. The programs with distribution files of the form xxx-setup.exe are distributions for Microsoft Windows, designed to run on any Win32 platform (98/NT/2000/XP/Vista). Simply execute the downloaded file to install. Other files are in tar/gzip format intended for Unix/Linux platforms, or possibly Cygwin/Mingw under Windows. These are source code distributions that must be compiled, instructions are provided in the distributions. These should build without trouble, but may require some minor tweeking on some systems, or perhaps installation of supporting libraries. adms-2.3.0-wrxxxxxx.tar.gz This is an enhanced release of this tool. This version is required for use with WRspice, for creating loadable device modules from Verilog-a code. cpw.c This is a program to compute the transmission line parameters of a coplanar waveguide at a substrate/air interface. fastcap-2.0wr-xxxxxx.tar.gz This is a modified version of the fastcap three dimensional capacitance extraction program. See README.FASTCAP for more information. fastcap-2.0wr-setup.exe This is a modified version of the fastcap three dimensional capacitance extraction program, self-extracting binary for Windows. fasthenry-3.0wr-xxxxxx.tar.gz This is a modified version of the fasthenry three dimensional inductance computation program which handles superconducting conductors. See README.FASTHENRY for more information. fasthenry-3.0wr-setup.exe This is a modified version of the fasthenry three dimensional inductance computation program which handles superconducting conductors. This is a self-extracting binary distribution for Windows. gtk2-bundle-Win32-2.24.10-xxxxxxxx-i386.exe This provides a complete set of DLLs, header files, etc. for the GTK-2.24 toolkit. Installation is mandatory to run any current graphical Whiteley Research product on Windows. This provides MINGW compile and run-time support for this tookit, in one convenient download. As usual, just execute the file to install the libraries. gtk2_bundle_x11-Darwein64-1.x.x-x86_64.pkg This provides a complete GTK-2 setup for Apple OS X Mavericks and later. Installation is mandatory for running current graphical Whiteley Research products under OS X. This uses the X-windows system. The package contains compile and tun-time support for GTK-2 in one convenient download. ind.c This ancient program computes the inductance and coupling factor of IBM-style superconducting interferometers. induct-xxxxxx.tar.gz This is a 2-D Chang's algorithm evaluator for calculating the inductance of an array of superconductors, written by Jay Fleischman at Berkeley. ipat-2.x.tar.gz This is a new, really nice version of ipat for Windows, and for unix or linux using the gtk widget set for the user interface. It requires that gtk/glib be installed on the system (true for most Red Hat systems). See www.gtk.org to get this library. This versions also builds using the mingw compiler (www.mingw.org) on Microsoft Windows, as a native application (no X-server or cygwin library needed). See README.IPAT for more info. ipat-2.x-setup.exe This is a self-extracting Windows binary release of ipat. jjmodel.c This is a simple program that generates Jspice3/WRspice models for Josephson junctions. jsim-2.0x.tar.gz This is the jsim Josephson junction circuit simulator developed at Berkeley. It is a small, fast, no frills simulator which can compile and run on just about any computer. Plotting software is required. jpsice3-2.5-xxxxxx This is Jspice3, a version of Spice3 with Josephson junction support and enhanced graphics. Jspice3 was formerly a commercial product, but is now officially open-source. kic-2.4x.tar.gz This is a toy integrated circuit layout editor, which has actually been used to produce some fairly complex designs. It is GDS and CIF compatible, supports arbitrary polygons, and is reasonably efficient. This is a source code distribution for any unix with X-windows, and Microsoft Windows (mingw or cygwin). DOS is no longer supported. There is also a Windows NT version designed for use with a pc X server, see README.KIC2.2f. kic-2.4x-setup.exe This is a self-extracting binary distribution of Kic for Microsoft Windows. sline.c This is a program for computing characteristics of superconducting microstripline. vl-1.x.tar.gz The vl program is a Verilog simulator. It is command-line driven (no graphics). Just about all of the standard Verilog functionality is supported (specify blocks and the PLI are not implemented yet). This is a source code distribution which should build on any unix-like system, including mingw. Lots of example files are provided. vl-1.x-setup.exe This is a Windows binary distribution of the vl Verilog simulator. The package provides the vl binary and a colledtion of example files. xictools_accs-3.2.1.tar.gz This is part of the XicTools source tree for building some accessory programs and libraries. These include the mozy help/web browser, a text editor, the httpget file transfer program, and others. The library provides support for GTK-1, GTK-2, QT, and WIN32 graphics implemented in a toolkit-independent layer. This is old, all support other than GTK-2 is being removed. xictools_accs-4.x.x.tar.gz This is part of the XicTools source tree for building some accessory programs and libraries, the latest from Gen-4. These include the mozy help/web browser, a text editor, the httpget file transfer program, and others. The library provides support for GTK-2 only.
